Language: Today was a pretty uneventful day. I went to class, studied my vocab, and set up speaking practice for every Tuesday after class. That and the fact that tomorrow is Friday are about the only noteworthy things as far as my language goes. At least I am still enjoying class and feeling like I am learning a lot. Today I was grouped with the smart kids, which is nice.
Marathon: Today the Momrine and I went for our first run together. Unfortunately, my platoon sprang a SRB update me this afternoon so we started late and, rather than run the 3 mi course we had anticipated, ran for about 30 minutes around the neighborhoods near the daycare before we picked her daughter up. That's all we had time for but it's better than nothing. It was a slow pace - easy for me but the Momrine was suffering. She finished it up strong, however, and that is the important thing. The hardest part is just getting out there and running so if she can keep that up I know we will finish this marathon. I can't wait until the conditioning kicks in.
Automotive: I was hoping to pick up my car today but Toyota ordered the wrong bolts to hold the wheel to the axle so I am still grounded. Hopefully it will be ready by tomorrow so that I can pick it up and get on with my life as there is way too much I can not do with my limited mobility. I need to be able to go where I want, when I want in order to get the most out of my day. Also, my vehicle is a lot more people-friendly than the Momrine's is.
Gaming: Today I tried to write some of the narrative my DM charged me to write about Vestein and his interactions with Lady Marcia before he left Shadowdale. I don't do too well with 'write on command' but I had to try and I made some progress.
