Training Day 5

At some point I am going to have to write some spiel about why this blog is called what it is... but for now, more of the same.

Language: Today was such a slow day. Slooooooow. Still, I managed to make it through intact despite getting the run around from the people at the ID shop and choking when I tried to speak in front of the class. Actually, that's not such a bad thing. I think it shows everyone that I'm not a natural born linguist and that rolling back didn't make me smarter somehow. They seem to think I only do well in class because I rolled back yet today I stumbled all over early vocabulary that they knew but I wasn't taught in my new class. Also, my MLI asked me about my CPAP machine as my face has the lines on it from the full face mask. As that discussion took place with no prompting in the class, I am hoping it helps my classmates realize that I actually have a legitimate medical problem and didn't roll back just for giggles.

Marathon: The baby was really sick today so the Momrine had to pick her up from daycare again. Then we went to go pick up my car so no running today... I'm a bit disappointed but these things happen and you can't dwell on missed opportunities. We just have to push harder on the next run.

Automotive: I got my car back today! It's still making some of those scraping sounds but it is also a lot better and seems to be riding smoother... still, I was hoping there would be no scraping sounds after $1200 worth of repairs at the discounted family rate and being two weeks late. At least I have my primary means of transportation (besides my legs) back. Time to kick off more training with the increased mobility!

Personal: There's a few things rattling around in my head right now. They are a bit heavy so I'm keeping them under wraps for now. All I can do is do my best with what I have available. All things turn out as they should in the end as long as I keep working at it even if the outcome isn't what I thought would be the best outcome.
