Training Day 30

And now we are up to date...

Language: I managed to stay awake through class today, which is always a boon, but I am having a hard time focusing still. I hate taking this medicine. Tomorrow I have a vocab quiz so I pounded some more vocab. I'm almost out of Before You Know It! lists... Now I need to figure out if I can make my own somehow. It may be worth it.

Medical: I saw the doctor today about my AutoPAP and why I'm still tired. They determined that I haven't been sleeping enough or on a regular enough schedule to burn off the sleep debt I've accumulated over the years. I also broached the subject of having my tonsils removed and the tech agreed that they are in the way. Then I confirmed with him that my tongue is overly large (based on observations of the oral surgeon who took out my wisdom teeth earlier and noticed that the sides of my tongue were gnawed on) and contributing to my OSA. For now, we just adjusted the max pressure on the device so that it won't pump so much air in my stomach, reminded me of the importance of a solid sleep schedule, gave me an update for my unit and class, and realized that I am due for a mask and hose replacement in a month. All together a productive trip.

Personal: Today was one of those days where I survived off of willpower alone. Honestly. It was a day where the only reason I didn't just curl up and hide somewhere is because I'm too stubborn to fail. I woke up with plenty of stuff rattling around in my head from the days before (like the deeply-rooted problems) then when I was taking out the trash in the head, someone's used-dip cup exploded. Then on the way to class my water bottle exploded in my bag so I showed up at class with a couple inches of standing water in my backpack and soaked books... At least things got better this evening. I have an idea know of where I am going and why.
